Michael Kennedy, President / CEOMICHAEL KENNEDY
President/CEO

Throughout his more than 25 years as a member of the J.J. Vaccaro team, Mr. Kennedy has gained experience and expertise in all aspects of what makes a construction project a success. From the project bid process, to skillfully managing the work plan and personnel, to the technical knowledge that keeps J.J. Vaccaro on the cutting edge, Michael has the demonstrated leadership ability and industry insider's perspective to consistently deliver projects that exceed our clients' expectations from start to finish. A Massachusetts Licensed Construction Supervisor, Michael has a degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute.

 

Brian Mount, President / CFOBRIAN M. MOUNT
President/CFO

Since joining J.J. Vaccaro in 1989, Brian has gained more than 21 years experience in directly managing a wide variety of complex construction projects. In 2001, Brian was named the company's Chief Financial Officer, having the financial authority to make appropriations for the firm. In 2007, he was made Vice President/Treasurer and today, he provides the leadership and financial expertise needed as President/CFO of the company. A Certified Public Accountant, Brian received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts.

 

John Foster, Project ExecutiveJOHN FOSTER
Project Executive

A Massachusetts Licensed Construction Supervisor since 1984, Mr. Foster’s more than 25 year career includes management positions with several of the New England area’s construction industry leaders.  As Senior Project Manager on multiple Central Artery/Tunnel jobs and the widening of Route 3, as well as a variety of MBTA and Mass Highway projects, John has demonstrated the expertise and skill to deliver successful finished projects time after time.  Trained at Wentworth Institute of Technology, John specializes in safety and work plans and project management to ensure that jobs progress as scheduled and within budget.

John is a graduate of the 2 year Civil Construction program at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He currently holds his 10-Hour Occupational Safely and Health Training Massachusetts State Construction Supervision License.

 

John Abbot, VP of OperationsJOHN S. ABBOTT
Vice President of Operations

Mr. Abbott has 20 years of project management experience. As VP of Operations, his responsibilities at J.J. Vaccaro include managing the estimating department and project managers. From concept through completion, John's impressive record of project management successes includes a wide variety of large-scale retail, hotel, hospitality, research and pharmaceutical venues including a Super Wal-Mart in N. Attleboro, MA, many of the Boston-area's major hotels, Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts locations and more. John holds a Massachusetts Building License and a degree in Civil Engineering from Merrimack College in MA.

 

Erica Schoonmaker, Project CoordinatorERICA L. SCHOONMAKER
Project Coordinator

A cum laude graduate of the University at Buffalo, Ms. Schoonmaker came to J.J. Vaccaro in 2007. As Project Coordinator, Erica has successfully balanced the financial controls of several complex construction projects, proactively monitoring budgets from $50,000 to $15 million. In addition, she is responsible for monitoring and tracking costs, coordinating budget reviews, monthly forecasting, project cost troubleshooting and more. Prior to joining the company, Erica held the position of Project Controls Specialist at a New York construction company where she gained invaluable experience in all aspects of project budgets, corporate accounting, and subcontract, supplier and consultant contracts.
